Jeff Fitzgerald is a York, Maine-based artist who works primarily in acrylic, graphite, and charcoal. Fitzgerald studied painting at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has exhibited all around New England and New York.

“The artwork is driven by color and its movement across the canvas. Brushstrokes build, conjure and connect to the other half of my workplace. A place to worship, lay bare and promote, the paintings are the twain, process unto subject. Am I Neo-Fauve, the tangle of Baroque upon Burchfield or Matisse-ism unchecked; yes to the group, a painter on the line, often coast. I am immersed blissfully, all five senses at play, recording, and editing. Sweeping, I offer a composition grounded, with an energy that soars untethered.”
